Private Discovery Tours is a tour company that specializes in taking small groups, couples or families on Private Discovery Tours to unique, rural and coastal sights in the Queenstown area and the South Island.

Our aim is to introduce you, our visitors, to the heartland of the South Island and give you an authentic, interactive experience in our unique outdoor environment.

Charles Fraser, owner / director has extensive knowledge of regional agriculture, history and culture. Having been involved in farming I have an in depth understanding of the issues relating to production, environmental care and sustainability for the future generations.

Belinda a trained Primary School teacher brings alive tours with a creative dimension for those family groups especially with young children.

New Zealand has extraordinary natural resources. Cultures past and present interact with our landscapes. We are able to share with guests an extensive knowledge of our wonderful country giving them a unique appreciation for the ” Land, People and Spirit of New Zealand.”

We now share this passion for the outdoors by guiding small groups with exclusive access to Mount Earnslaw Station at Glenorchy.  Explore the historic gold mining areas of Skippers Canyon, Lord of the Rings movie sights, local Queenstown Local area sightseeing, Milford Sound or the wilderness of the Catlins Coast.
